Can-Am Training Supplies was founded in 1993 by Pierre Lafond with the  goal of designing and producing a durable and affordable Bite Suit for all types of training - police, KNPV, protection, Schutzhund, Ring,etc.

"I started in Belgian ring in 1975 under Michel Dubuc. Suits at that time weighed 60-70 pounds!! In 1985,I started in Ring Sport.
Our club and business were going through three or four suits per year, at approximately $1000 a piece (in 1985 dollars!). Then, in 1993, I started making my own suits, trying hundreds of different fabrics and materials and many different construction techniques.
When I found a fabric that was durable and affordable, safe for the dogs' teeth and learned to work with it, I knew that I had found what I was looking for."

We have continued to expand our line, and now offer a full range of dog training equipment. Using the equipment daily with fellow members of our French Ring Sport club gives us first hand knowledge of what is needed in training equipment. That experience, combined with continued feedback from customers, has enabled us to design and make what we believe is some of the best equipment available today.
